Old United A320 Video
 

There used to be a video on YouTube that was a mock oral check ride used in training at United, but it has been removed. Does anyone have a link to that video or possibly have the video saved somewhere? It was titled A320 Oral Prep and starred a kid with bleached tips in his hair. Probably dated mid 90s. Thanks.

Damn, you’re about a year late asking for that tape. I just threw it away while cleaning out my garage. It was a fantastic oral prep, the AI you’re referring to is Jim Rucker, he still works at TK. I’d be willing to bet he has a copy of it stashed somewhere. Maybe send him a note through UAL.COM email? I had to throw mine out because I no longer own a VHS player and I’m guessing most of us don’t anymore.

Heard it from some of the guys in TK and New hire mentor . No clue if it will ever happen .

Jim is a great guy... he taught part of my qual course on the bus.. Incredibly knowledgable.

The rumor has been floating around from standards captains for a while now that a variation of the oral might come back. They are concerned not so much with fleet knowledge as that with updates all being done automatically by the Ipad no one reads the changes anymore. So this would be a way to reenforce them.
