Weight Restrictions To SYD

I’m looking at flying non-rev from SFO-SYD soon. It’s now been downsized to a 787-9. How often (if ever) are these flights weight restricted?

I r not a 787 guy, but the last several days it has taken off with about 15 empty and they were still averaging about 5000 Lbs below MTOG.

The 787 is great airplane on the days it can get off the gate and doesn’t have a scab in command.;)

So you're saying it's just like the 777 and 747?

FYI, this flight is often flight planned full. At the last minute they pull a pallet and now 3000-5000 pounds lighter. Flight already left when weights arrive. Not impossible to non-rev, but can be a challenge.
JS is possible for a UA pilot.

I heard about this on 777, but never saw it happen on Sparkie. Then again Sparkie isn’t as good of a cargo hauler.
