Starts January 16th...will be by appointment to start.

Also wifi is being turned on in all cockpits in September 2015.

96% of the fleet is complete as of this week.

Bet you will....if you want to.

What does "wifi...turned on in cockpits" mean?

I have not seen a router in any 57/67 cockpit yet. If you recall a couple years ago the official line was a dedicated log in for working crews. Haven't seen that yet either, although I don't know if it matters since the wifi system we have currently on the fleet is slow and about 50% reliable.

Of course all theses plan were a couple of CIO's ago.

On Fifi many AC have WiFi access enabled. This means wsi works, flyingtogether works, pbs works, etc. would be nice if the flight plan had a designation for which AC had been completed.

This is why I don't do updates in my phone for at least 6 months after they come out . Alway always always scams , slow downs , bugs associated with it .

In some cases up to a year I've waited , by then it's time to by the new phone which CAN handle the new software

Bought a refurbished I-pad air for grandson for Christmas.

Ad said it was loaded with ios8, and had intended to help him update to 10, but looks like 8 will be it. Don't think Apple will let us do an incremental update.

Ios10 was good, 11- not so much.

On the 737 look for a placard above the FO instrument panel that says wifi is ok if device is aft of yoke. If so you are allowed to connect to wifi through the United App. You do not have to purchase anything as WSI will connect to the internet without purchase. I think it’s whitelisted or some such thing. Very helpful updating all the turbulence and pirep info on longer flights.

CCS access would be nice as well.

You won't see a "router" in the cockpit:

This has slowly been happening since July; I found out purely by accident. (This is on the 767-300 fleet; seems to be true on the 757RR as well).

Just select the united-wifi (under "Settings") on your ipad; the same that the pax use.

With no fee: WSI, FlyingTogether, company email, and Pilot Mobile work. In July and August, CCS worked, but not any more.

I just sent a note to the Fleet Manager, though, because while the 66XX jets have been working remarkably well, I've only gotten a 64XX jet to work once...and it was horribly intermittent, as in ten minutes to log in, and worked for one minute.

The WSI feature is fantastic for building SA going to South America (using SATRAD Global). It's not perfect, but it gives you a bigger picture than the detailed shot you get from the plane's wx radar. Together? Really nice.

If you are flying on the day that bids come out: you can check your schedule under pilot mobile.

Umm...while on break in the rest seat/bunk. ;)

All airbii have been configured for Crew WiFi access as of today.

We have access to Flying Together and there's a link to CCS from FT, if you're not able to directly able to go into it.
