New Hire Classes and Drops

is that hopefully the process? 100-200 of us are in the CJO pool hoping that if a year expires, we get first attempt at “I’m still current and I don’t have any arrests”. That’s my biggest stress. I have a job but hope I am still in line at United for a job when this turns around.

It sucks. But sometimes those affected first are affected least. Many of the pilots I knew who were in class when 9/11 hit rolled right into other flying jobs after turning in their manuals. Maybe not major (now legacy) positions, but they were flying and making money. The ones who had to stick around six months before getting furloughed didn’t find much in aviation.
Actually, they didn’t find anything. All the positions were taken. I was thanking my lucky stars that I wasn’t picked up by a major.
Of course when recalls happened I didn’t get one. I didn’t have one. And it took a long time before I got another chance.
Life is like that.
Hopefully this doesn’t last long.

Chillax dude. It's a pause in hiring. Besides. This freeze has been know for a week or more already. Not new news from the union.
