Default UND/United partnership announcement

Rumor has it a partnership will be announced on June 11th between UND and United. A lot of profs have been saying within the next couple of years pathway programs to major airlines will be established

In my opinion probably not for a good 5 or so years, but who knows. IMG_1720.jpg

Just look at those smiling, happy faces!!

How come I never get asked to pose???

On a more serious note, I hope the Marvins will view this development and realize that we are a commodity, that they need us, and we should not just settle.

Or, he's on SC and they want him to hightail it to the drome. They just changed him to a FSB and it starts in an hour. That's my fave. By the time I get there, my FSB is nearly half over.

Why are those 3 happy Skycaps walking around in a park anyways? Seems far from their natural habitat.

Bingo.

These guys and gals will be so thrilled to be onboard that defending the Union and our contract will take a backseat to “helping” the management team that made their hiring possible.

Hope I’m wrong.

As a PS, Is it just me or do we even employ any Caucasian, male Pilots anymore?

By the look of every United poster I see that includes Aviators, I’d say possibly not.

I hope so too but also I think you are wrong based on the last cycle of “young, low time” folks (i.e. interns) hired in the late ‘80s to mid ‘90s at LUAL before UAL upped the “unwritten” minimums.

A disproportate number have served us in union leadership positions—-including our current MEC Chairman.

I suspect that the serious effort made by the pilot group on mentoring those pilots as new-hires made an enormous difference.

We can, and will, do it again. Going forward, I’d much rather have to do some mentoring at mainline, especially if/when the mythical 100-seat mainline jet arrives, than watch Express do the flying with large RJs.

Who hurt you? Are you ok?

Upwards of 90% of our hires are white males. Most classes, IF, they have a female or minority have only one. The lady in my class had a few thousand hours and a handful of type ratings. I'm sorry your tendies got hurts-ed by seeing a female pilot in a marketing advert. I'm not sure if you are aware but women and minorities purchase airline tickets so showing a few different faces makes our company look good. Of course, if you were a female african american and you saw a picture of the same in a United uniform that might inspire you to go to flight school, which some (757) might not like. Yuck!

Union membership includes looking out for every person on the list and not discriminating. You should try it.
