So you haven’t flown it....
Would you rather be stuck in a 6 hour traffic jam in IAH in the Summer in a ‘74 Super Beetle with a manual, or a 2009 Cadillac Escalade? |

Being that the ‘74 Super Beetle NG has a pretty good air conditioning system (providing that guys actually fire up the APU and get rid of the useless ground air in IAH)....

I don’t think you want to compare the APU/pack performance of the two fleets.

Flying 4 days in 80-95 degree heat in 800/900/700, not a single temp complaint other then “it’s too cold in coach”, and not a single passenger left behind, pretty nice ride if you know how to use it.

Cough, cough....uhhhh…..no it doesn't. It's very easily confused. I'd say worse than the 757.
Maybe it's me that gets confused. I'm confused though. I dunno. I came from the 757 to the 777 and thought the 777 worked a lot better. I've seen countless people finger bang the vnav into uselessness instead of letting it do it's thing while keeping it engaged, though. Nothing like watching a guy go through 4 different vertical modes while descending 2000'. :D |

I’ll pick the one that provides the best schedule. Most people in this country work much harder than we do for less than we pay in taxes. I don’t think that life on the 737 qualifies as suffering. Flying either plane for what we make is a pretty good life. We’re the lucky ones.

sure the bus is better to fly. Much quieter cockpit, more room, more automated....... Having said that, the 737 isn’t exactly suffering. It’s easy to fly. Most of the flying public has no idea what they’re in. If you ask them they’ll tell you “the one with 3 seats each side of the aisle “. The company went with the max over the neo. So what? I’m a f/o on 12 year pay. Based on 80 hours a month I earn about $178,000. Add the $28,000 for my B-fund, insurance, and an average 15 days off per month, I really don’t think the 73, 37, guppy.... is that bad.
Posting your pay info on a public forum. Stay classy San Diego. http://ksassets.timeincuk.net/wp/upl...ress040810.jpg |
This site post the pay and benefits of every airline. What we make isn’t exactly a secret, I just did the math.

It is the poor or lack of training out of DTK that is the problem. Training by Bulletin or Newsletter just isn't cutting it.
The love affair with the FLCH button is a UAL thing and our FSAP stats puts us at the bottom of the industry. The other operators other than Asiana seem to have got VNAV figured out. Let's not even have the discussion of the UAL embarrassments at LHR. Fly Safe |
