Default Is SFO going to get a stipend like GUM?

Cause I think the cost of living is pretty high in SFO too.

There are plenty of affordable places close enough to sit short call reserve legally.

Affordable must be a very relative word around here. Not to mention the effect living anywhere in Cali has on take-home income.

And ORD, etc.....

I live in IAH for many reasons. One is cost of living. I realize that some (new hires) don’t have a choice on their base assignment. That said don’t ask me to subsidize your cost of living in base X by taking lower compensation because I choose to live in Houston.

The contract has a total cost value. Where the give and take occurs should always be neutral to all pilots. The cost of living adjustment for GUAM is appropriate IMHO because of the remote location and other costs associated with living there. Any CONUS base, sorry.

There’s a reason why I’m only 90% in my BES in IAH but 50% in SFO.......

Are you suggesting removing the GUM stipend and redistributing it to everyone?

No, I said the GUAM stipend is appropriate. One for SFO LAX etc., no.

Not gonna happen. It's all about private schools. A must in Guam. Move to Guam if you want the stipend.

SFO should get something. Hell $500 a month would go a long way.
