Anyone have experience with the PRAP PCRA? What kind of fees do they charge?

Other than trading fees, the account maintenance fees are about the lowest around due to the size of the total pilots PCRA accounts. Don't remember the totals, just remember looking at them last year and thinking, " yeah thats good".

You also have ability to transfer money from another 401(k) plan, into the PCRA.

The PRAP charges 5.50 per quarter + your funds expense ratio. The PCRA charges 3.99 per trade but also has no transaction fee ETF's and index funds. If you open a separate checking account (free international ATM withdrawals) and a brokerage account they charge 4.95 per trade outside of our PCRA. It really is a pretty solid package all around. The expense ratios are also fairly competitive. Fidelity just announced some 0 fee ETFs which are a little bit of a gimmick but paying an expense ratio of .04 on whats available at schwab or vanguard is an absolute bargain for what you are getting. If schwab started gouging us they would watch our 6 billion UAL PRAP account go elsewhere.

Actually, as an ALPA member, it’s $3.95. You have to call Schwab and makes sure your account reflects you are an ALPA member. This way any future reduction in trade fees automatically apply. When Schwab lowered the fee to $4.95 for the general public, ours was lowered to $3.95.
