I've never heard of pilots training Recurrent Training dates. Is it done?

I’m not sure you’ve worded your question the right way. I assume you are referring to bidding for training dates. If so, then yes we do that.

Once awarded a date for the 2-day CQ training in Denver, can that be traded?

I just did it this month. Find someone willing to trade and email the details to training scheduling. It was done in under an hour.

Not aware of any official process to do that. You could always reach out to crew resources/manpower planning and see if they can do anything for you.

Last recurrent I called the training folks and managed to swap training slots. I only wanted 2 days off that month and lady luck awarded me training in my early month on those two days.
