Seattle?

Hey guys, the other day I flew an UAL commuter from SEA to SFO. He mentioned that there’s some talks about maybe reopening Seattle again down the road. Any words on that? Thanks.

It's all true and should be announced anytime now.

Wishful thinking!!! It would be the most senior base at United.

Well given the nature of this thread I'm assuming for a Seattle base? ;)

NY base closure, transcon commute, 15 minute drive to EWR, plus UA has hired the least and relatively older compared to the other big 2.

Ya'll can have your fill of ANC/SEA/PDX/SFO/LAX all ya want. I just want EWR/JFK/LGA.

You could always just apply to United. Seems like a much less convoluted path to the thing you desire.

He wants to be merged in with his former Virgin seniority, and United wouldn't call him before because he wasn't competive. Duh.

Well he was close. We have actually been retrofitting the previously retired 747s for cargo, and an ANC cargo base will be announced in the near future. SEA could be a small cargo base as well.

We're also going to run a ton of outsourced crjs in cargo configuration to "feed" the 747s. Seems our scope clause is lacking quite a bit in the "0 seat" range...
