No new hires to CLE. Believe it or not people actually want to get into that base. The line is long and distinguished.

"What's Cleveland like?"
"It's a place."

There is a very specific reason for not stating a training start date, and that is this: 1904v vacancy they said to "expect training as early as January 2019." Not, Dec 2018, but Jan 2019. So, when a guy gets assigned training in Dec 2018 he sends PDRs asking why the company is not honoring their statement on said vacancy bid. You see the response via this latest vacancy bid announcement.

Bottom line, they only need to give you the required UPA notification, which in most cases is 14 days. So, if you bid on this one and say, have vacation you really want to keep in Jan 19, its not safe and it never was.

Under five years. I think it could go to a 2015 hire.

Folks lining up for those productive embedded redeye trips. But seriously, its a cool base and fresh meat is welcome. Come 3 come all.

You have to read the full sSC vacancy bid report. Paul Carlson says clearly that training would most likely start in FEB or MAR for these bids, but you could still get the last second 14-day prior notice.

I know, and what I am trying to tell you and everyone else is that is says that because of what happened with 1904v and my PDRs, instead of just saying "expect no earlier than Feb 19 (in this case)."
