This was early 2003 when the 717’s were still arriving and the DC-9’s were exiting. The 717 instructors were excellent but a couple still had the old Eastern DC-9 training mentality. Just glad they weren’t targeting me...my sim partner, who was going from the DC-9 to 717 captain had to go fly the 717 as an FO for about 6 months after our training before they let him upgrade on it. Long story longer I know.....
