Personal tablet/laptop suggestions 2019

The companies iPad is just that. Yes, you can use it to surf, etc but I found it to be such a PITA overall that I gave up on it for almost everything else besides company stuff and Kindle. They know exactly what you are doing with and what you have added to it. And BEST of all, really USEFUL APPS for flying their jet...well, you can't put them on! Stupid. Wrangle their very expensive jet all day, but by golly don't you dare freelance with the iPad.
For a decade I used Microsoft machines. I switched horses about ten years ago. I bought a MacBook Air and never regretted it.

I am a video designer and edit videos for YouTube bloggers. I used to use a laptop with Apple operating system. But recently my laptop just broke, and the workshop told me that it was easier to buy a new laptop, because replacing the video card on the laptop would cost me as much as a new laptop. I read many articles about powerful video editing notebooks and once my friend told me that I need to visit gadgetguide.in. There I saw Lenovo Legion Y540. In terms of its characteristics, it is no different from APPLE laptops, but on the contrary, it is the best version. I also realized that this laptop comes with a warranty and there is no need to be afraid of breakdowns. You can find more information about laptops here https://gadgetguide.in

When the ipad rolled out it was lame. There were minimal apps and it was of minimal use. A number of techie guys were finding workarounds and adding stuff to the machine. The workaround was eventually killed but things like real-time radar (RadarNow) for example. I remember sitting as bunkie just short of 30 in MOG. There was a big nasty mess or RBS just off the end of the runway. So I pulled it up on Radar Now and passed it forward. The guys were quite pleased to have a real-time pic of what was going on. The pax in the back could know exactly what was out there, but we didn't. It was stupid.
Slowly, the iPad got better but it still rankled me that it was treated with such reverence when in fact, it was initially a corn-filled turd and quite cumbersome to use. I flew with a guy who was a Beta-tester and part of the TK chosen. HIS iPad was fantastic and contained a ton of useful stuff. But none of it was allowed on ours. Moving map inflight and while taxing, etc. It took forever to get those things on our machines.
I dunno. I loved not carrying pubs, but I sure knew a hell of a lot more about the plane and the FOM when we had bags. If it wasn't highlighted and/or there weren't notes in the margin I didn't look at it prior to a PC. Over time, your pubs could morph into fantastic review tools. But the iPad? It took them forever to get around to simple highlighting, for example.
I just thought in some cases the company was more concerned about what we did with their machine when not in the cockpit than what it could help us with when we were IN the cockpit.
