Did an e sub for a MAX to Hawaii recently. Suffice to say non revs filled up the significant seat differential. At least 5 of our guys came up to show their kids the pit. Each one of them proceeded to moan about how hard the stby game had been over last few days like life wasn’t fair.
Keep in mind the only reason these guys got on was cause of MAX grounding and yet they still felt compelled to complain. Good for you guys that all are all rosy on non revving. You will get bit in @rse soon.

Five guys on vacation, happy to show their kids where they work, vs. you complaining about their alleged bad attitude on the Internet.
Golly, I wonder where the problem lies?
Dude, the problem is you.

Could it be they weren't actually complaining, but just trying to convey their experience and gratitude they finally got on?

Maybe they were trying to relay their gratefulness through stories of trial and tribulation and maybe they were playing the victim card and looking for sympathy. Either way dude, you’re not helping either with your character attacks.

Got it now. My bad that I found that claim specious instead of an experience or a conveyance of gratitude after hearing it 5 times.

So you would agree that getting a massive break non reving should be summed up broadly by saying ‘wasted X days already and barely made this one all cause our travel benefits are a freaking joke!’ So major difficulties non reving to a prime vacy spot during spring break should be recognized as a company cultural failure?

Really I'd give up my vacation passes to have some allotment of 50% discount tickets per year that let you choose whatever F-ing seat I want without paying $50 for the privilege to choose 34 A,B, and C.
My only issue with our non rev system is the whole process of registering a buddy pass... But I guess we can thank our entrepreneurial colleagues for that.

We all do. That’s why we smile even when alone in the hotel room.
This whole thread reminds me of why we don’t travel. We went non-rev to see my parents once and the wife had her fill. We now buy tickets or drive. It’s a great perk for those who want to use it though. I’m just lucky to have a wife who hates to travel. After 4 days on the road the last thing that I want to do is go somewhere and her and the kids have no interest in going anywhere we can’t drive in a day. I even got shot down after offering to take them to Hawaii or Europe. It’s ironic being in this business and we all dislike travel.
