Not a UA pilot but I've lived in OAK for 20+ years and am very frequently in Santa Rosa, so I'll reply. As with most driving duration estimates, it completely depends on the day and time. Monday morning rush hour, southbound? Quite possibly up to 3 hours. Driving in at 0500 on Sunday morning? I've done it in just under an hour.

The worst spot is the 'narrows' on 101 between Novato and Rohnert Park. Even on weekends, it can be a mess. Or trying to drive northbound on a rainy Thursday or Friday afternoon. It can take 4 hours if you're really unlucky. And yes, it's 67 miles.

Or you can hop a Skywest RJ. First flight out of STS is 0600, last flight back to STS is 2100. Be sure to say hi

I'm an LAX guy, but lived/flew out of NAS Moffett Field decades ago, and loved it there. Question: instead of driving all the way to the SFO employee parking lot, why is there no conversation of driving to Antioch (or Richmond, or Dublin/Pleasanton), parking, and peacefully riding BART the rest of the way to SFO while browsing the iPad instead of sitting in traffic? Wouldn't this add Stockton/Tracy/Lodi into the mix of more affordable places to live?

Over night parking at the train stations, or the lack there of.

I'd hope that gets solved by entrepreneurs closeby with parking space to rent. Looks like a park & ride shuttle is available to Antioch from Brentwood & Oakley: Park and Ride

I live in Marin and usually leave 1:30 prior to show. Usually takes an hour to drive, 15 minutes to walk to ops and gives me a 15 min buffer. If I know I am meeting at the gate I leave 1:15 prior to show.

Maybe make a parking arrangement with a nearby hotel and uber over to the BART station?

Non rush hour I’d allow 90ish minutes plus whatever override you feel comfortable with to get to the lot. Add another 15 for the hoof into ops/annex as applicable. From Petaluma I usually leave 90 minutes prior to when I want to be in the lot during non rush hour. 1:15 is pretty standard so I have 15 extra minutes to play with for getting coffee or if I need to put gas in the car. During rush hour I usually allow 2 hours. 1:45 is generally my average during those times.

All of this has been considered by thousands of commuters from The Valley and points beyond. Good idea, but just doesn't happen. Park and Ride or bus from Tracy could be a huge problem if you are ending a trip and the old SFO delay program kicks in getting you in three hours late. Sorry wish it was easier. Bearing through the drive is how must guys do it.

Although I've not done it, I know guys that have ridden in via train (from Rocklin/Roseville), and then to BART. They don't seem to do it more than once. I get the impression the people you come across are pretty sketchy. Might want to invest in body armor.
