Avianca

Blast MEC message.

UAL's majority ownership of Avianca is a scope violation. And scope is about as serious as it gets.

As a bonus this happened during contract talks that are currently focused on the remaining items of pay, retirement and...scope.

This is gonna get interesting fast.

So the Company is bargaining in bad faith, right?

It could be used as leverage but there is nothing I'm willing to ease scope for. So imho it's a moot point. These are two completely separate issues that should not influence each other.

You think the company is using a bad loan to leverage negotiating new CBA language - by blatantly violating current language? Yes, shrewd! :) Let’s see how that works out.

It appears that company was trying to salvage a bad loan which is understandable, but, the details are going to cost them. The Master Chairman has more than enough experience and a sterling track record in the grievance arena. I guess we’ll wait for a new CBA while the company learns about scope.

No. I'm saying we could use it as leverage for contractual gains. You and I have given enough.

Why the rush? It's not personal, just business.

How many posts

Interesting development....
So, how about a poll.

Chime in with how many posts are made on this subject before someone starts attacking another poster.

I’m guessing 11. (Poll replies don’t count)

Why attack. We might have differences of opinion but in the end most want the same thing in a better contract. Polls or fake Gardener letters aren't needed.

Exactly, we have to realize that this may delay the CBA but will more clearly define scope in the long run.
