Airbus base

Hello-

I’m currently an airbus pilot based at ORD. If I was hired at UA wondering how long it would take to get based at ORD in the airbus?

Also how long would it take to hold a line and what are upgrade times?

Thank you in advance?

3/17 hire.
8 months to hold ORD
This summer I’m the g-line which guarantees me a line unless I bid reserve.

Reserve in base is a better gig.

So why don't the top 20% bid reserve???

I think he means being on reserve is better than being the last line holder...not better than being the top 20% of line holders. Plus he said “in base”. Not everyone lives in base.

I bid back to reserve for 5 month when my son was born and worked a total of 4 days...rsrv when living in base can be great.
