I have never heard the expression two t**ty coke machine

Ya the technical term is Flight Attendant, or so I’ve been told. Perhaps in the Chief Pilots Office....

They don’t care being referred to as Aisle Donkeys either...

Ok, why is it so significant?

Because flight ops is OUR office. It’s OUR work place. To call it the CPO diminishes that, as if we’re guests in our own home. Subjugates the pilot group as visitors. It’s the other way around.

Devils advocate: what would you do if you were CP and said pilot said “FYI the company may be named in a lawsuit due to a wreck that involved a support rep” ?

I was told the very same person she was trying to help turned her in.

I was in the Chief Pilots Office (CPO) just the other day, it’s next to the weather room....CPO must be a new trigger word?

Years ago just after the merger I got asked by a visiting guppy crew where the Chief Pilot’s Office was. I told them “Its in flight operations.” They said “Oh...where’s the weather room”? I told them I have no idea but I’ll intro them to the chief pilot. We got down to ops and I said the chief pilot is this way and they said this is what they were looking for and called it “the weather room”. I’ve never heard of operations being called the weather room until that time.

I have no problem calling things whatever, but some guys still call a category a BES even though that’s not the term we use, but they I get chastised when I call the CPO “flight ops”. So I guess we are even.
