We all know that it is a culturally driven practice. One side will never let it go, and the other will never think that it makes any sense. If it were only some unwritten cultural norm, I’d just go to the plane and do my job. Unfortunately it isn’t just a cultural norm, it is now FOM policy. As a result I now go to the weather room, have the same conversation that I used to have at the plane, then walk across the terminal to the plane and start getting it ready, cooling it down, making sure the flight attendants have what they need, etc. The only difference now is that I’m getting there 15 minutes later than I used to.

I love how we as an APC community can help the OP with our relevant responses. This reminds me why I rarely come here any more.

Domestic flying wise we are the only airline that doesn't just go to the airplane. The guys who actually defend the weather room meet and greet for domestic flying are usually so out to lunch that they haven't worried about the golden goose in quite awhile. They have rental properties and horse farms to tell you about while you stroll 30 minutes prior onto a mostly boarded and unsurprisingly blazing hot airplane. They then say how the airline sucks because -insert opposite legacy- has no idea how to run an airline.

Weather room or not, who cares. But give your flying partner the courtesy of a text, email, or phone call so that they know not to meet at the FPA. It's in the FOM, and expecting your flying partner to assume that it's cool to ignore that part is not ok. Signed, a guy who has walked from my commuter flight past our departure gate, then many more gates, then to a tunnel, to meet with no one. When Captains take the time to shoot an email about meeting at the jet, it shows that they value your time and effort.

Very happy with the Nazareth district. Parkland is also good (much larger than Nazareth).

Central Bucks is an excellent district from what I’ve been told. The drive is a bit longer to EWR vs. The Lehigh Valley. Housing in Central Bucks is about 20% higher cost I’d guess, although more of an available supply. Nazareth area is growing fast and there isn’t enough on the market.

I would consider The Lehigh Valley as gentrifying. There are without a doubt some tougher areas it would be best to avoid. Central Bucks seems a lot more established money wise.

Best wishes.
