I've done one on the bus. Continuous duty overnight, about 4 hours in the hotel. It's basically the same as a day room, but it's at night. One duty period. I was reassigned into it when the first leg of my pairing canceled, and it sucked. It counted as a 2 day, which would have paid 10 hours. I got a bit more because my original trip was worth more.

The answer is yes.... In Guam. Scheduled. 4 hour nap-overs in Koror.
It does have soft time with rigs... but does not pay as a 2-day as per the Guam LOA. |

Umm ... What are you talking about? How long were you in the hotel?
And the FO I was with said he did the same about two weeks prior. |

Like detpilot said. Continuous Duty Overnight. One duty period. Fly last flight out , 4 hours at hotel fly first flight back to base.
And the FO I was with said he did the same about two weeks prior. always been a dilema with small stations. Mainline aircraft in late at night....back out early in the morn and the rest of the flights are RJs. This,of course, results in 30+ hour layovers in Sioux Falls, Des Moines, and 10buck2. High speeds/ Stand ups are a waaay more efficient way to solve this problem. At the old U, I can't recall ever actually seeing a stand up, and I know that you would have been ran out on a rail for suggesting them. lol.. I guess we use them in Guam on a regular basis, but you get 1hr pay to 1.5 duty rig or 5 hours min. Not 5 per day. |

Ideal for the short hops in and out of the mid continental hubs. |
Appreciate the data guys.

I’ve seen 2 in 3 years here . Again we’re broken pairings attempting to recover some other issue .. not a regular pairing from the bid packet

They are limited to 14 hour of FDP. These can be very attractive trips if you keep block below 2 hours per leg.
Ideal for the short hops in and out of the mid continental hubs. And if it touches the window of an ANF as defined in the UPA then the duty period is further restricted to 9:45 with no longer then 2:30 (some locations only 1:45) between legs. See 5-E-10-g |
