Cabo vs PVR
Hey guys thinking about a trip to hang out in the sun mid Jan for a week. Cabo vs. PVR...any inputs? Favorite watering holes, restaurants and hotels. I've only flown in and out, never an overnight.
Thanks, Grizz |

Cabo... pricier, but it has everything you can want on vacation. Obviously caters to tourists, but not as overtly as the other Mexico tourist destinations.

In Cabo now only 71 out sunny tho. If you want to swim or hang on a nice beach PV. If IMHO you don't care about a beach then Cabo but downtown not out at some resort. You can rent a villa or condo cheaper in PV. PV is also more laid back. Cabo is the playground for the rich.

At PVR now. Swimmable beach. Hotel closer to town and it’s a little lower budget.
Cabo is a great layover. We are at the JW Marriott these days, beach not swimmable, nice infinity pools, expensive but good food. You’re out in a compound but can get reimbursed for a taxi IIRC. |

Wish I had known about the taxi reimbursement in Cabo. FO and I decided to stay at the hotel and I think we racked up a $500+ food/beverage/cigars tab for the overnight. All in the name of welcoming a half-winger, of course... |

For future reference, at Cabo if you ask the van drivers they will stop at a store for you and let you pick up an icy cold 12 pack of “sodas” for less then the cost of two cold ones at the pool bar, or so I hear anyway.
If you do the beach route, be prepared for a calf workout. The sand is very soft |
Good info guys. Thanks
