Core4: Attendance & Reliability policy
Looks like Core4 works...
CCS The health and safety of our United family is paramount and our core4 standards have and will continue to be the foundation of our company culture. Flight Operations, in collaboration with ALPA, has determined that COVID-19 requires more flexibility regarding our current Attendance and Reliability policy. If you, or anyone in your household, exhibits flu like symptoms, please place yourself on sick list and contact your CPO or your Fleet as soon as possible. You will be permitted to use any available sick time to cover this absence. Flight Operations Management will note the reason for your sick call in our records. If you do not have any sick time available, contact your CPO or your Fleet for options. Any pilot nearing a point where Dependability Monitoring is being considered will be given sufficient latitude to weather infection and the policy will be administered in a mindful manner by your leadership. Please also remember that your absence may be covered by our company’s FMLA policy or under the various state and local laws governing sick leave and that a COLA may be a option. Continue to take care of yourselves, each other and our customers while following CDC guidelines. |
Continue to take care of yourselves while we decide how to carve up the costly employee contracts. And please, ignore the man behind the screen (and especially the 8B stock buyback) and all the money lavished on management over the last 20 years. Cuz this time it's different. Just keep LEAPing! Oh, and shut off that APU!
Here we go again. |

Here we go again. Seeing that our Attendance Policy is not included in our CBA I pay no attention to these silly bulletins anyways. Might help out some of our more fearful, less protected co-workers but that memo means absolutely nothing to me. Carry on !! As a PS, thank god we've been "patient" during our contract talks. What a farce. |
All I saw in that message was if you’re sick call in sick and take care of your family. It’s been said for years here: the program is mainly for those 2% ers who seriously abuse the system.
|
Are they talking about the program that’s not in our contract and that ALPA doesn’t recognize?
|
ALPA doesn't recognize anything they don't make money on! Jezz....

You're a 787 Captain. You've been around a long time. Enlighten us. |
I was thinking...dangerous I know....Wouldn't this be a legitimate on the job injury? I mean, in all likelihood we pilots will get exposed to this while at work. If we gotta quarantine and miss work this should be an OJI.....
Any thoughts on this line of thinking?????? Sick time is sick time. But, this kind of issue should be OJI. |
