Is there a number of takers published of option A, B, and C in the first round? I saw the results, but didn't want to count each fleet.

You’re probably right that it won’t happen, but I’m not giving away vacation. All I would request is the 50 plus the 22 and change to recognize my vacation. Most likely I’ll end up bidding reserve and getting my other nine days off in the reserve line. I’m ok either way.

Thoughts?
If you are over 25 years, you prolly have 5- 7 weeks vacation coming before you’re 65. Just do the math. The last two Option C offers have you using the vacation you have already earned to subsidize (pay for),,your early out.

When they get serious, they’ll pay 60% mpg plus your vacation and a part of your sick bank like Delta is...otherwise, sit on reserve, call in sick when you don’t feel like a “level 4 pro” that day. let them pay the cost of sending you to landings clsss, and or CWMVLOE and maybe a line check.

It’s a low bidder auction, facilitated by your MEC.
and ohBTW, Uncle sugar is making the payroll till Oct, so think of it as a PBGC bonus.

Sorry, meant to say “like American”, not Delta.

Who, AA btw just offered another 640 early outs. They got over 600 on the last round.

Must be two very distinct views of Airlines 2021 in those C suites.

Default Vacation and E-SRL

I got a firm answer from Paul Carlson, the Director of Manpower for United. He published the info on the March 31st Crew Resources update and it didn’t quite spell out what happens to vacation during an E-SRL month when you have more than 2 weeks of vacation. I received his e-mailed response this morning. It was short but here is his quote, “You will receive all your vacation pay in May. Thank you for considering the Pre-Retirement E-SRL.”
