Details delivered as requested, check your email from the MEC. I’ll give you a hint, I guess they thought today was April 1st.

yep you read it correctly.

I was certainly hoping for better terms. The 62+ guys I’ve heard are salivating for an offer like AAL pilots got with their VPLOA option.

Obviously the company wants something in return, they can easily offer the 62+ deal AAL got but at a cost of big scope relief, our only hope is to stay united. Let’s say worst case scenario they want to furlough 2,000 pilots Oct 1st unless we all accept to all go down to a flat 50hr/month until the market recovers. Can we all stick together to make it work? I’m in.

Actually, the words you are looking for are substantial change. That however is not defined and the MEC can act without MR if not deemed to be substantial. For instance, LOA 20-01. Granted, voluntary options. However, who controls the normal SRL process and determines how many to allow......the company. Round about way for the company to push some towards the Empty Line or E SRL in my opinion.

Not impressed by this LOA.

Hold on Buckaroo. I wouldn't be saying "...make it work. I'm in." Until we know the details. Don't be so ready to give concessions till our negotiators have had their say.

thats how it reads, but I doubt that’s how it works. And correct, nothing is remotely appealing except the e-Srl, but until we know credit hours can’t say of course.

The bailout deal was a big piece to the puzzle that the union and company needed to come up with a plan. Hopefully now they know how much government cheese we’re getting they can have better numbers to work with and come up with an early out that would benefit the pilots on the way out, help the company, and reduce the number of furloughs. United has put up some big furlough numbers in the past for events that weren’t this severe, I hope this doesn’t go as deep as some fear.

I think your worst case is pretty optimistic.

I would be surprised if there are 10000 pilots on the list by Christmas.
