Put in my initial application in January, still says pending review?
Gov’t shutdown was a long time ago, are they still backed up? was hoping to get it down while I was employed! |

Mine also only took a couple days from submitting renewal request.

Gov’t shutdown was a long time ago, are they still backed up? was hoping to get it down while I was employed! I initially applied in Feb, I am also waiting. A quick Google shows that 6+ months is normal for the inital application. With stupid COVID, could be three years for all I know. |
I applied a year ago. After trying to check on it several times, I Basically forgot about it.
Got an email yesterday, not opened yet, that I assume says it is done. No longer matters. I’m not flying international any more. |
OK, I just logged in. Yes, approved renewal. Question:
The website said “activate card,” using the security code on the back. Hmm. Wasn’t sure if that meant use the code on the Existing Card...or if they are sending a new one, and “activation” is to be done when I receive it. I used the old card, old number, and it says I’m activated; good until 2025. But if they are re-using the old card, it shows an expiration on the card of 2020. Again, probably not an issue, as I’m not flying internationally now. But if the need arises in the future, I want to make sure I’m in compliance, lest I get jacked up at Customs. Any experience with this? |

Any experience with this? I started my renewal last September. Waited... waited... waited... then the pandemic kicked in which delayed processing even more. Then out of the blue, a couple months ago I received a similar email. No interview, nothing - just that I was approved. I suppose someone finally got to their desk where my application was sitting and decided to move a piece of paper. |

You'll get a new card soon with the updated expiration date on it.

Still waiting...
My wife, daughter, and I applied last October. My daughter and I were conditionally approved the same week. My wife is still waiting. She followed up a couple weeks ago and got a response saying that they haven’t forgotten about her and the average wait time is now 9 months.

Wife and I applied for renewals same day in January, mine approved in three days and hers....just approved this week. She once was taken aside and scolded by CBP for having an apple in her handbag (she‘d forgotten about it) so must’ve had a big black mark next to her name ;-)
