Easy no for me, but will watch the continued race to bankruptcy and Insler rise in the alpa organization.

My displacement is possibly cancelled because I’m SFO 777 FO and was displaced in 20-07D. Don’t know if I’ll be one of the 130 or not. But I do keep my pay rate. Yes, there are lots of questions that need to get answered, but right now I’m a yes. This could change though...

But right now all I can see is that little LEGO captain having a conniption fit over "my money... my money!!!"

Yup, im going to miss the "oh my third house payment is hard."

A lot of interesting parts of it.

I would guess a lot of displaced CAs would be making about what they made before the TA when you combine them keeping their CA rate and the hour reduction. Work less to make similar seems like a descent trade.

I appears from my first read that this basically eliminates the "I already took a pay cut" argument.

It’s very possible I’m reading it wrong, but I am seeing a 63 hour mpg if we are above 50% of our block hours for a given bid period. 10% of 70 hrs MPG = 7, so unless we dip below 50% block hours, in which case many more than 3900 of us are f-ed, I’m seeing a 10% cut. Obviously the lines are to be slimmer than usual, but that is going to be the case either way.

if you are senior in your BES and were not displaced, I could totally understand a NO vote… If you are in the top 2/3rds and got a displacement letter, I’m having a hard time seeing how this is a net negative in pay for (the proverbial) you.

Please tell me if I’ve got that wrong. I’m trying to understand the implications for the entire group

Also maybe all of us should read, digest, actually run the numbers for our families etc before deciding.

After my first read I'm undecided. There are A LOT of factors here that all affecty family. I would guess there is only a VERY small number of our pilots that could justify an automatic vote based off what I am seeing here.

How can you reach that conclusion? Pre-Covid I made 83-90 hours per month. Now, 73. With this agreement, apparently ~52.

***Just came in and read this thread. I have not yet read the letter.

Looks like they at least put some reasonable reversion triggers in it. Latest case for this LOA would be Oct 2022. If we haven't hit any of the other triggers by then, none of this will matter anyway.

16-3 is a pretty good vote rate for this TA, are all the MEC members bought out by Insler?

It’s just like the sponsor a kid except this time you are sponsoring a furlough until Oct 2022. For only $thousands a month yes you can sponsor a furlough...well for 6 months at least...but the gift of giving will continue on for 24 month
