Good to see Biden signaling how pro labor he is (compared to the last guys, who were ... not). One day airline pilots will actually figure out which party labor is supposed to support...

I routinely listen to Rush, Mike Gallagher, Sean Hanity, Glen Beck and others ... when I want optimism I just turn the radio off and things get better. There is so much out there to listen to that is just fear and doom and gloom the end is near. YMMV

It only took me a few seconds to get my optimism here from that post. Now back to reality, we’ll see if the feeling was well founded. I’ll look at what people do, rather than what they say. Time will tell...

Some airline pilots don’t put labor rations in the private sector at the top of their list on priorities for who they cast their vote for. It might be number 5 or 6 on that list like it is for me. It’s actually nice not to have all your eggs in one basket. No matter who wins, you look forward to different priorities being tended to. I look forward to all the gains we will now get in labor relations.

Really, what oil company just laid off thousands of jobs? And what's more devasting... some regulations requiring we don't destroy the planet, or a pandemic that causes everybody to stay home and absolutely kills the price of oil.
For what it's worth, most of the oil companies like Occidental are investing heavily in green/renewable energy because they know it's the future and are preparing to pivot. Occidental partnered with United and is researching carbon capture heavily... they will get thousands of new jobs created in green energy. So, no net job loss.
