Jumpseat out of HNL
Thanks in advance.
With Alaska. Was hoping to catch a JS tomorrow Jan 16 on UAL 9pm to IAH. I’ve never JS on any flight from Hawaii to mainland before and we can’t list prior only at the gate. Is that a big deal? Any tips, advice suggestions?

I’m showing 90 economy seats open, 6 first class open with 2 non revs listed for first none for economy, so I’m sure you’ll get on no problem, maybe even get first class? Just a thought good luck!

For UAL, yes you can just walk up to the gate. Agent should issue a boarding jump seat pass, the Capt sorts it out--If there are no seats in back. If seats available, they'll just print you one with a seat.
But....you are still required to introduce yourself as a jumpseater.
No jeopardy, but you can also list ahead of time. Opinions vary as to the etiquette of not listing ahead of time. No worries it you don't.
