scope violation. They buy it, we drive it.

I would be all over this.

Hit the Silver Stem on Colfax ... pick up the pax ... 70 West.

Didn't UAL also do this very thing years ago in CO? What's old is new again.

More importantly, are there reciprocal jumpseat agreements?

This is most likely the long term solution for the PW4000 n1 fan problems.

we're gonna need a new pay scale

It's gonna be a new step added to the AVIATE process.

watch out for that Smokey on your tail. We can put you in the rocking chair if needed. Otherwise it’s clear to the county line!

So that guy was laid off by one of the regionals that shut down in the last year and in order to take care of his family he took a job for the second time since he had to do this before after 9/11. I find many things funny but unless the original poster is this guy making light of his situation then I wish the moderators would take down his picture. How many of us would be on the street if it wasn’t for cares money and the LOA and would be searching for a job like that, if we were lucky.

Easy Tiger. This picture is not making light of anyone. Just a reminder in the eyes of those above we are all widgets. If one thinks the 777 capt is viewed differently from the RJ fo or the bus driver plowing through Eisenhower tunnel think again.

What sucks for the bus driver is that he doesn't have a FO he can make chain up before leaving DEN and heading up toward Eisenhower.

How very thoughtful of you, however that photo was snagged off an add for Schneider Trucking looking for drivers. So up you might want to untwist your panties.

I hope we hire him from whatever job he had to take to feed his family. Seems like a good person.

82spukram 02-28-2021 05:20 PM

Hoss and others. I know it’s from an advertisement. I just think it’s in poor taste. It’s a crap deal for a guy twice shafted in the industry and then it seems as if the forum is ready to pile it on. I’m in bottom 1/3. The idea of being a bus driver (not the Airbus) was a little to close reality for me this summer.

oldmako 02-28-2021 05:51 PM

I don't see anyone piling on to this poor guy's misfortune. I see someone highlighting just how tenuous pilots' grips are on their jobs and the ALPA contract that makes them worthwhile.

No, but watch yourself there's a gator on the zipper up ahead, the scales are open, and the lizards at the West Memphis J are jumpin on your step before you can back her in. :D

One time many years ago ...

A relatively new hire F/O tell me that we were “white collar” like management. He was convinced.

I spent the next three days trying to convince him that yes, our truck might be more expensive ... that we might haul pax instead of hogs ... that yes we might require more education ... yes we might have slightly more responsibility ... yes we might be more likely to make the nightly news if we don’t keep her between the lines ... but, at the end of the day ...

backer on down good buddy ... we gotta cross dat fix at 250 ka nots ... atc got that radar gun onus

good guy ... it took a few years but he figured it out ... many never do.
