FL Commuters
I am looking to move to FL in the near future and wonder where current UAL folks are commuting from? I am open to any domicile, looking for a one leg commute with multiple on and off line options.
Thanks in advance.

Do a search for “most difficult state to commute from” and you will find the answers to your questions.
No, really......it’s VERY hard to commute from there unless you have decades of seniority. There are TONS of pilots and FAs who live there, as well as a very large community that values family visits....so expect to see large families of non-revs who will all board before you do. Unless you’re very senior.
If you’re not going to be senior, I would recommend EWR for the variety of choices, both in choice of what plane you want to work on as well as commuting options.

My old man got a place in Florida a while back. Kind of a vacation house that would pay for itself because he wanted to establish residency there. The plan didn't last though, because he could never get his wife on the airplane. Thing is, all the seats in the back would be taken by ultra senior FAs and he'd have to ride the jump, leaving the wife behind every week.
At the time he only had 38 years seniority so maybe things will be better for you?
Good luck!

I’ve been commuting out of FL for over 6 years. It isn’t as bad as some make it out to be most days, but it can be worse on some days! I’m not in tune with the United system though I do know if you’re Delta or AA you have a lot more options for flights.

I commute from Florida to ORD. I mainly try to leave out of PBI on AA or i will take NK from FLL. UA from FLL is a PITA.
Avoid MIA and MCO at any cost since you will probably loose a decade of your life.
