Uniform
When one is displaced back to right seat; are we entitled to a new hat, epaulettes, and stripe removal? They furnished the aforementioned items when I upgraded. No mention of it in 4-F.

All of the downgrade uniform stuff is company-paid. I think it’s not in the contract but rather a side agreement that ALPA and the company did when the bumps started. You can get all the stuff taken care of at TK if you’re going to training or through M&H if not. I think you can also get reimbursed for the jacket de-striping if you use your own tailor, but not sure the $ amount limit on that.

Company only gives pilots upgrading to captain a new hat, wings, two stripes, and epaulets... everything else on way up is on you. You get nothing on the way down.

Figures. I guess no hat for me. Problem solved.

Just grab an overcoat from airlines past out of the closet and cover up your current uniform. No one will know or care how many stripes there are.

If you really want to wear the hat, I recommend self adhesive felt. $1 at wallyworld. Just cut to shape and apply. It peels right off when you upgrade again
