Default Scott Says Pilot Shortage Looming

From over the weekend. Says the military is not producing as many pilots which is true, "potentially" creating a shortage.

It was a funny interview he did with Axios. Kirby spoke of how dedicated UAL was to having diversity in their pilot ranks. Reporter followed up asking why then the C Suite makeup is overwhelming white males

Ummmmm. Ummmm

Considering that our previous CEO and Chairman is a Mexican American and our current President is black, I think that's a pretty dumb question. Especially when compared to our peers.

Journalists are by and large useless and more concerned about "zingers" than actual reporting.

There is no pilot shortage.

Merely a compensation and QoL shortage.

Incredible.

As UA sits on 15,000 applications.

The real answer is "There is a shortage of people willing to make $35,000 a year with 11 days off flying our RJ's."

True.

Expect the pre COVID pay and bonus structures to return to the regionals.

An on air reporter for a TV station in Houston said live on air her investigative field reporting was to fit the station’s predetermined narrative. If it did not, the piece never aired.

Here is the framework of the story we want to tell. Find a talking head in agreement to fit in the spot.

She was immediately fired. She says she has videos that prove her point and she is going to Project Veritas to prove it to the public. I look forward to seeing it.

That's true.

How many professions require a college degree and about a 100K investment for ratings, etc and start at 35K?

I have a son with a business degree. He started at 65K at his employer fresh out of college.
