DCA commute
 

Do pairings on 737 and 320 start more at IAD or DCA? I’d be commuting but don’t have the option of a single leg commute to IAD but a single leg commute to DCA is doable.

Majority out of IAD. Of my 5 trips next month all but one originate in IAD. I’m on the airbus.

IAD is always going to have more flying then either DCA or BWI since it’s the hub.

getting from DCA to IAD is not hard. Metro if you have the time or Uber/Taxi if you don’t.

Does the train go all the way to IAD yet?

someone told me that the train is done, but they haven’t opened it yet because they haven’t finished hiring the workers.

they are doing test runs and fixing issues that have been discovered but it’s supposed to be sometime in the late spring.

Almost there. They are in the final testing stages and been that way for awhile. There’s a bus that runs from the Dulles to the last silver line station though.

If you preference DCA trips in PBS, I’d bet you get at least half your month with that.

There seems to be a small group on the Bus that prefer DCA and a group that prefer BWI as well. Keep in mind, BWI trips pay a “double town” add pay of ~ $137ish which helps offset the hotel and dinner costs. (Most BWI trips either start super early or end super late - or both)
