what date was your CJO?

Wildflyin 04-20-2022 03:54 AM

I am a 3/30 interview with a 3/31 CJO, worried about the same thing. It’s going to be close I think.

I’ll make you feel better. I’m 4/6 CJO. Fun telling my current employer I’m leaving but don’t know when. Lol.

I fly 135/91, my recurrent is next month so I had to tell them to not schedule me. I would have waited until I had my class date to tell them, but I couldn’t have the aircraft owner spend that money on my recurrent if I am leaving shortly after. During the interview they had told us class in mid-late May; glad I had bumped that up to June when I told my employer.

Don’t put a lot of stock in CJO dates. They mix the classes around so sometimes people with a later CJO will get it ahead of others. It’s to make a good balance of different backgrounds.

I did that with my employer, and promptly got fired. Lesson learned.....

Thank you so much. What's the DOH of the most junior 320 Captain so far regardless of base?

And how long does a NH can hold IAH as a NB 320 FO?

If it’s not a year now it’ll be a year in a few months when captain bids really start hitting and people come off probation.

IAH is weird, it grew a few bids ago and even had new hires going to it. I would think you’d be able to get it pretty fast

Later summer 2019.

Until the reserve rules change, you might not want to bid captain on a narrowbody. The novelty will wear off and you will be the Company’s biatch. Trust me, it gets exhausting. Get some seniority in whatever seat you hold and enjoy life.

Which equipment should a NH target if they'll stay there for a couple of years?

The Boeing 757

Depends on your definition of “better”. The 737 has more orders on the books and has a better variety of flying, but the Airbus is much more comfortable to fly. And with the NEOs and XLRs coming soon, the variety will be better.

Is there any indication as to what bases will see growth via 737 deliveries or neo/XLR for that matter

My understanding is the A321 fleet will start in east coast bases to open up more thin routes to smaller European cities.

I'd imagine the 737s will go systemwide.

Anybody know what the class plans are for new hires in July?

Would love to know myself. Last I heard in Flying Together there weren’t any classes scheduled as of this week.

Flying Together -> My Work -> My Department -> Flight Training -> Class Dates

Still showing June 21 as the last class date, but I bet it'll update with July dates in a week or two.

Can you post back in here when it is updated with more class dates?

I’m interested in the application review services but wanted to know when is an appropriate time to begin doing them? I’m currently at a regional and finished with training waiting for IOE. I have AirlineApps totally complete and of course will continue to update my Flight Time section as I begin flying. When would you suggest I purchase the services?

If you have the quals for a regional, you have the quals (technically) for everyone else. Your apps should have been in already.

With zero turbine time?

Go get it scrubbed

Go get it scrubbed now. The worst they can do is ignore you because of low turbine time, low PIC hours, or whatever thing they want that you don't have. In the meantime, you get points for having a published app and showing continued interest. You also probably underestimate how much much work your airline apps needs.

This right here, I started building my apps while in flight school before the regionals. IF don’t already, you need to get your ducks in a row with your job history as they usually want it all the way back to to your first ever job in high school. Same with your education history.
