fleets in a domicile are global if they have global trips. CLE 737 was global. LAX 756 is not

More than likely EWR 737 will be Global this summer if they take over that Azores trip from CLE.

Personally, I think WAY too much is being made out of Global v Basic reserve. It’s a bit irksome that you have to place 6 days off in a row since that really limits the rest of your month. The fact that you can get rolled into a day off seems fairly minor. You can get reassigned into a day off as a basic reserve or a line holder too. I’m sure the Union has data, but I wouldn’t be shocked if it was more common for NB line holders to get worked into their days off than for Global reserves to get rolled.

756 ORD, DCA, IAH, EWR are global….
756 DEN, SFO, LAX are not

This is pretty rare on the whole for NB lineholders and you are paid when it happens. Although, I’m sure that someone will pipe up saying that they are reassigned every trip into days off. It’s APC.

Am I correct to assume then, that 737 LAS or MCO will not have Global reserve since there is no international flights from there? Or we do not know that until pairings are build? (meaning that even though you fly out of MCO, an international flight can be part of your 2/3/4 day trip)
Thanks.

You can’t say anything with certainty as no schedules are built, but it’s very unlikely. Not all international flying is global, also. Also, don’t worry about it. You’ll spend a few months on reserve out of BI on a NB.

There is so much wrong with this post I don't even know where to begin.

Until you move the Christmas holiday with your entire family to earlier in the week to exchange gifts and have Christmas dinner because you are on reserve on the actual day and then you get rolled into the day everyone is coming to your house to celebrate. Yeah, other than that it's fairly minor.

Every plan I’ve ever made for a day after my work block I always make it conditional (at least in my own mind). Wx happens, Mx happens, EWR happens. You could be flying RJs, 73’s or 787’s we all miss things.
I’d much prefer for the company to have to pay extra, but from a QOL perspective, I doubt that WB reserves miss more days off than NB. I think we should (and probably will) get some improvements in a new contract. I just seem to disagree with the overall impression on APC that Global Reserve is some dystopian hellscape. That hasn’t been my experience.
I’ve never once been rolled into a day off on Global Reserve, but I’ve missed plenty of days off as a NB lineholder. Maybe I’ve just been lucky.

You mean in your whole year at United? 😆YMMV, but it’s been over a year for me being reassigned at all (NB). That also also happened to be into a day off. Most people I fly with say it’s pretty infrequent for them as well. Yet new hires here make it sound like it’s every trip. 🤷‍♂️
