United Pilot AIP Meme War

The United ALPA pilots have a new AIP with the company on a tentative pilot contract. The "no voters" have come out in full force to shoot down the agreement. This has spawned a meme war between factions of pilots.

This video is a part of this meme war and has a star wars intro as a bonus for "meme stacking".

Well done that is too funny because it hits so close to the truth.

A little context. A paper napkin, bullet point rumor was posted on social media. Many who saw that said IF IN FACT THAT IS THE AIP then they were a solid no. There are those who beat their chest and say they’ll vote no on anything. I contend there are equally as much or more who’ll vote yes on anything presented. The vast majority have no idea how they’ll vote until if and when they see the agreement.

Many have concerns over the process which is an entirely different discussion.

In the last three contracts, the "leaks" were almost SPOT ON with the eventual AIP. They were considered lackluster at best and some even concessionary at worst by a large chunk of the pilot group. It seems as though ALPA has learned how to "manage expectations" exactly the way James Spreyregan and Tilton did during the bankruptcy debacle.

The yes guys got all bent out of shape then saying EXACTLY the same things they are now. Then the AIP is published the leaks are not only validated, but they're also facts! Pilots vote yes anyway and micturate away yet another opportunity to make significant improvements in their agreement. Bonus's all around Willis.

Later. Rinse. Repeat.

Let’s hear your breakdown of the home run. Or do the Crybaby Crusaders only come equipped with “no at all cost”? No real number would work when all you do is complain.
still a No but not because I think a 40%raise on date of signing is around corner. I think LCAs definitely don’t deserve the biggest raise in a CBA. Also no on PS travel.

Critical thinking was never a requirement for this job. In fact, it’s been hired out of this profession
