Management getting PDRs leaked to them

Be aware our PDR system within the union has a mole feeding them to management somewhere in the system. Be careful what you type.

What about the hotel PDRs? Oh wait, they gave that away and now all of the reports are already on company servers.

You are correct which is a major reason why this union leadership is having trust issues.

Details or it didn’t happen.

this is false. If you want to relay something to the committee without involving the company you may pdr it. There have been many comms about this.

I wouldn't say that they way you said that.

There are details out there. However, to release them would expose some people in a pretty obvious manner.

If you filed a PDR with your union, and then the next day the pilot gets a call from HR, then you tell me........

Our current system brings in SME's for your particular area of concern. They do a great job in getting the info and responding to the concern. However, your local council reps are copied in on the exchange.

Is it possible that some of our local council reps happen to be "friendly" with the base chief pilot and/or the base's HR rep? Any of those LC reps having one on one discussions about a members PDR, without the express written consent of that member is violating confidentiality. I think the system works great at the "system level." But, once you start adding in additional coooks in the kitchen, there is a risk to information security. I personally would exclude the reps unless the member pilot specifically "checks a box" to allow them access to the PDR and the PDR response. No real benefit to having the reps involved in your own individual PDR. But, it definitely shows you where the leak is, if and when it occurs.

Just ask the council chair from each council if they have had discussions about members PDR's with base leadership or staff representatives?
Hint: Start in EWR first.

Ask Pro Standards point blank if it’s happened recently.

I like the bait. But smart enough not to bite. But thanks for playing…

Not baiting (not intending to anyway) thanks for not playing. On the surface that seems like such a complete betrayal of trust and complete abuse of the PDR system.

However, are the data points collected in order for ALPA to advocate or correct issues on the pilots behalf? On specific events, it may not be hard for management to figure out the “who” if it’s a one off. For the bulk of PDRs you’d hope it’s trend management/awareness.

I hope that pilot gets a good settlement in DFR suit if he was mistreated.
