Actually, objective studies in the years afterward show that Gore won. The problem was that the Ds only wanted to recount 4 counties instead of the entire state of Fl, if they had gone for a whole state recount Gore would have won.

Another fun fact: in 7 of the last 8 Presidential votes (including 2000, the year of Bush vs Gore), the Democrat candidate won the popular vote. IOW, Most of America would have rather had a Democrat instead of a Republican President. Including Hillary over TFG.
