Commuting

I currently live in Minneapolis and plan on commuting for awhile until I possibly move to a base. If I were to continue commuting long term which aircraft are based in Chicago and Denver. Can’t remember if Denver has the 777 but I know that Chicago doesn’t. I am assuming I will get the 777 but what airplane would be best for to be on for commuting? Does Chicago have the 757/767 and 787?

So you have an offer but don’t know where aircraft are based?

no 777 in ord or den.

ord has 757/787 and you will be on reserve on both of you can hold it out of class.

Should’ve mentioned that I have a class date on December 6th and I am familiar with some of the aircraft and base but wasn’t sure if the 777 in ORD closed or when it did. Thanks for the help.

Neither, current vacancy shows 0 unfilled on both.
I believe things will go more senior after the holidays and vacation bid

Neither ORD nor DEN have the 777. They both have everything else.

I would say it would take a long time to get ORD on the 756 and a longer time on the 787, but the way things are going now, a long time seems to be happening pretty quickly! The junior bid holder for ORD 756 is about 500 from the bottom and the junior bid holder for ORD 787 is about 1400 from the bottom. So, based on current hiring rates that could be in a few months for the 756 and under a year for the 787. Your mileage may vary, but estimates we were giving a few years ago about how long things would take have proven to be way off. So, now I just look at how far from the bottom something is and what the hiring plan is to give a better guesstimate! DEN is more senior than ORD on both of those fleets, so you would get to ORD before DEN unless the world starts spinning differently on its axis (which has happened a bunch lately) ORD is also a larger base for both the 756 and 787.

If you can bid it take the 737, 320 and 756 in that order… should be able to get to ORD or DEN in a short amount of time IF hiring continues at the current pace.

Also need ORD, but looks like I’m gonna get the 777 SFO. So 2 years commuting until I can bid into something else?
