Min REQU notification for OE trip

I’ve seen Minimun required notification for an OE assignment as “reasonable notice”. I thought I’ve seen that further clarified as 30 Hour min notice.

I think that also applies for each OE trip.

Anyone have any experience with this?

Cliff notes version is that the 30 hours free from duty in the last 7 days applies due to FAR117. Usually they’ll give you at least a 30 hour heads up on OE flying to be able to comply with that. PDR it to be sure and if you’re unsure about your legality make sure to get that clarified before departing on the trip. If you’ve had 30 hours free (either via that much advanced notice or a layover or you were released from duty by skeds) you should be good to go. But since you’re required to be reasonably available for OE you technically have an obligation to the company.

Minimum of 30 hours notice for FAR 30/168 since you are reasonably available for an OE assignment.
