If offline and trying to JS the gate agent can’t give you a boarding card (seat) unless it’s in coach… so if coach is full then you’ll be out of luck. However, if there are seats in coach then you can board… then it’s up to Captain (who will discuss with pursuer) on whether you sit up in Polaris. Ultimately it’s up to the Captain.

Any discussion with the purser is strictly as a courtesy to the purser, they have zero input. I know you know that, just pointing it out to anyone offline.

It sure would be nice if this would be the standard. Imo, an offline jumpseater should always be offered a business class seat if available!

This is 100% correct. Confuses the hell out of the gate agents when / where yoyou make the listing but completely possible
