Meet and Greet

How hard is it to get a meet and greet with a chief pilot? I live in Denver, know a couple of UAL pilots, I’m guessing they would be able to set that up? I’m guessing a meet and greet would help speed my application along. Thanks in advance!

Easy and yes to the rest. Just ask your friends.

Yes talk to your friend(s) there. They can contact the CP Office and submit your resume with a nice Letter of Rec. It took about 4 months from when my friend submitted my stuff until I actually met the CP.

Within 5-7 days of the meeting I got the Hogan Invite. I completed that a few days later and the very next morning was invited to schedule my interview. In my case things moved quick afterwards.

They explain that the meeting doesn’t automatically get you an interview, but that it does give your application points. If you’re close it most likely moves you across the finish line. That was the case for me, thankfully.

It was a really cool experience so if your able to do one definitely do it!

Did you have an availability date in the future when your stuff was submitted or were you immediately available? I’m asking because I don’t have availability until the Fall and a meet and greet request was submitted 3 weeks ago and I haven’t heard anything. Just wondering if my availability has anything to do with it.

Hogan Invite

How long is it taking to hear back with a Hogan invite after a chief pilot meet and greet? Are people getting "metered" if they are at a UAX carrier?
