when the age changed to 65, around 98% of the pilots stuck around after 60. what makes you think it’s going to be any different if they change it again? What makes you think you are any better than them? There is a 98% chance you will do the same even though you are so self righteous about this today.”

Wrong again, but A for effort. I will be retiring early because unlike most of those begging for 67 I have saved religiously during the good times, lived well within my means and avoided spending on unnecessary expenditures. What the older folks don’t get is that most of the younger folks don’t want to work until they croak in the flight deck. I know this is a difficult concept to grasp but WHEN this goes to 67 my plans won’t change at all. You can enjoy going to work at 60 or 65 or 70 but with the times we’re in right now if you aren’t saving a bunch maybe you need to look at the expenses and trim some fat cuz two more years ain’t gonna fix an inability to run a budget. But you can stay cuz everyone else is too if that helps ya sleep at night.
Now, sit there quietly until I call for the Before Push Checklist.

Oooh I think I touched a nerve. Seems like this 67 crowd can dish it out but can’t take it. I bet both you fellas hand out drinks in first class and make a great podium speech. Will you call for the checklist before or after you bore me to tears with how tough it was back in your day? Never mind I already know the answer.

You got hired less than 2 years ago. What are you ... 30something? A LOT will happen in the next 30 years and it won't be all tailwinds.

AirNav23 is a newhire practically? HeShe will have plenty of chances to learn about the ups and downs of this industry. He was emphatic about how the lost decade's negative impact on the pilots that were here aren't his problem. Should I have the same attitude when he is impacted by a future furlough? I'm not like him as I actually do GAF about the JR pilots.
