Apology accepted, but I wasn't personally offended just trying to point out that there is the correct way to do it per ALPA's guidance. Improper methodology has caused angst by some when they didn't get what they were expecting. Considering that the bonus is being taxed at 22% vs. most everyone's normal income tax rate, any miscalculation can lead to a significant difference in income estimation for those in the pilot group looking to properly estimate their own tax burden for this year so as to send the IRS money before December 31st/January 15th.

My hats off to you on your past education for being able to give that accurate estimate. Unfortunately many these days couldn't figure that out if they were given all the numbers except the three zeroes after the $38,XXX. BTW, my original post was not meant to brag in anyway, but as someone else said, $4,000 is not an insignificant amount of money for most people.

Withheld.

not taxed. This seems less known than it should be.

You don’t have to have had made 360k to have that delta. You just have to have earned 30k in the previous December.

Nothing for 2023 yet…. Any idea when that’s going to come out?

No idea, but the last email came out on the 12th, so I would guess next week.

Or, you could expend a little effort by following the advice in this thread to see an accurate estimate of your second retro check. (Hint: garbage in = garbage out)

If you have the original email for the first bonus, if you use that link, the website page for you should be updated with the remainder of the payments.

However, no new email and the Pay Advice doesn't exist yet.

The link is on the CCS home page and it is updated with the 2023 figures.

Mine looks good, except I can't figure out how they calculated the vacation plus-up. The pay rate they're using is higher than what I was making when I actually took the vacation, but lower than today's rate... not sure how that's supposed to work.
