Applying to United from Aviate carrier
I am currently at an airline that participates in Aviate. However, I am not apart of the program. I have been told that given these circumstances, United will not even consider me. Is this true?

You can always apply from outside the program - doesn’t matter which airline you fly for or if it’s affiliated with Aviate or not.

Quick answer is you won’t get hired. It’s a loophole that was exploited before. It’s been closed. If you’re in the Aviate program and leave for whatever reason, your app will be flagged so that you can’t interview for one year.

The fastest path to United is not being in Aviate or working for a UAX carrier.
If your ‘airline of choice’ is United, don’t get stuck in our United ecosystem. Get your hours, hire on at one of our ULCC (or SWA) competitors, and you will immediately get called by United. I’ve flown with countless FOs who took this path and state the UAX/ Aviate route is NOT the fastest path to the big U. In fact, they all state that it has the opposite effect. There’s a reason Aviate is struggling mightily. |
UAL classes are full of Spirit and Frontier guys… They have the type rating, and flying for the competition, it’s a means to increase competitors training costs.
The AA WOs is a similar situation, especially if a CA. Everyone poaches each other’s feeder, but is very selective against robbing their own. Curious, who is the Embraer Part 135 operator you are referring to? Associated with aviate? |

There’s a reason Aviate is struggling mightily. Go to a LCC/ULCC/ACMI, it’s faster. The AVIATE program is a joke, it’s roots starter as one and it continues to be one. |

Associated with aviate? there's a lot of people on another thread that don't want to hear it, but there are legitimately people doing maybe 50 hours of flying at a regional before going to frontier, then sitting in the right seat for maybe 10 or 11 months before coming here. |
