What are the odds of a MCO 777 base?

Currently zero, according to mgmt. Ask again in 5-10 years.

The good news is that if there ever is a 777 (or 787) base in MCO you won't have to worry about holding even an FO bid for a very long time. I have been here 26 years and figure I would be lucky to hold Reserve as an FO in this theoretical base.

Now it would help making the 737 base there start to be more attainable!

there isn’t even a DEN 777 base and there is upwards of 20 777 operations a day.

Considering the 777, living in Chicago. Which base, if one, would be easiest? EWR or SFO? IAH? IAD?

well, EWR just had a massive displacement from there to SFO, so I’d scratch that off your list.

Why not just bid ORD 787?

Category has shrunk by around 60 in 6 months, I wouldn’t count on anyone getting it for a while. To each their own but I would never commute for a airframe that’s not currently in my home base and is unlikely to be for a while if ever

won't grow again until construction is done and domestic feed for ORD int'l gets fully ramped up I bet.
