IAH or EWR
Hey there everyone! Long time lurker first time poster. I start in 2 weeks and I've been keeping tabs on Airbus bids through the indoc site. I noticed the 2/20 class has 3 bases available on the bus. I plan on commuting since I live no where near any bases (I'm in NC), so i'm trying to figure out flying wise and commute wise which base would be better for each? I commute out of CLT so I know there's a ton of flights between AA and UA to EWR, but I don't know if IAH has flying good enough to warrant trying there too. Any insight? I'll also mention I'm no where close to CA upgrade so I'm not worried about that at the moment

AA CLT A320?

CLT-EWR will be the much easier commute. There has also been far more 737 slots in offered each base than on the bus. Are you more concerned with what you fly or where you fly? Considering that the pay is about the same, I'd personally rather deal with the 737 with an easy commute than a nicer plane with a more difficult one.

Thanks Whiplash...I guess tongue-in-cheek humor doesn't convey well online. Suppose an emoji would help, if I could figure out which one.

Base changes are quick and easy. If they only offer SFO320 and you want 320, take it, You will be to IAH or IAD or EWR very soon and probably before finishing IO

every single other fleet is strictly EWR. |
My friend at United says that the ORD Airbus base is a lot larger than EWR or IAH currently, and that might be an easier commute, depending.

a thing to consider, somewhere around 30-40% of Airbus trips are actually out of LGA. The most I ever saw on 737 was 4% one month (least I saw was ONE trip for a month out of LGA).
