Interview Prep Questions

Hello, I will soon be scheduling an interview with United and wanted to know what interview prep service is best recommended. Also, is basic interview prep (TMAAT, HR) good or do most people also add on prep for the technical/SBT portion?
TIA!

I worked with the folks at Centerline Consulting; they were great. Their prep was equally helpful for my interviews at UAL, SWA, AA, and AS. I don't necessarily think you need to do specific prep for UA beyond that, although aviation interviews.com was a great resource too.

The technical portion of the UA interview is really easy if you're a current turbine pilot, which I'm assuming you are. Mine was literally just a couple questions on descent rates needed to make some STAR restrictions. There's no simulator or CRM scenario.

Good luck!!

Looking at aviation Interviews, all they ask is 5 HR TMAAAT questions, and then the technical scenario. Is that really it?
Also, is there a way to edit your hours after you've gotten invited, I think there might be a mistake in my hours with the transition from one electronic logbook to another...

Nate at Ascend Above. He's part of the recruiting team and has a list of credentials so long they'd make your head spin.

I could not agree more. Spending two sessions with Nate was well worth every penny.

Recommend Spitfire Elite. They have great coaches and a good UAL specific technical skills prep every week. Lots of info available there. Good luck!

I’m an emerald coast man myself. Any reputable prep company will do just fine I’m sure.TMAAT questions, the technical side isn’t that difficult and by that point you’ve been talking with the interviewer for a good hour or so, so by that point they probably have figured out if they want to hire you or not. I definitely got the feeling my interviewer was blitzing through the motions by the time we got through 2-3 technical questions. They give you a packet with nearly all the info you need, study it, memorize it, and basic pilot GK should do for the rest. I was concerned about the technical but it was easy, and my ECC prep coach told me out of ~50 interviewees the only pilot who flunked the technical was an single seat AF pilot who blew off studying it because he assumed he would be just fine even though he hadn’t flown a STAR before. Put the time in, take it seriously and you’ll be fine.

I am sure he got me the job. Very possible any of the other ones could have done too. Moral: get interview prep!

I used Emerald Coast for American and got hired. I plan to use them now for United.
