PBS 2.0 issues.
 
It’s the 13th, Captain bids are out for every base but the PBS 2.0 bases….seems to be going poorly.

Well, when the scheduling software is connected to a Tandy 1000, it runs a little slow. 🤦🏼‍♂️🤣🤦🏼‍♂️

it’s my understanding that the backend system is still largely the same. All they did is make it “easier” to select trips for the different buckets. Once the buckets are defined it’s all the same.

Correct. The bidding interface is the only thing that's changed.

As of right now, 15 captain categories and 7 FO categories have been published in 2.0.

You are correct. My bad. My category was even out way sooner than usual. In old PBS we were always the last category, now it’s already out.

PBS 2.0 is the best.

My bid award came out earlier than I’ve ever seen it before. About 30 hours after bid close.

It's the same system, just wearing a dress and a heavy coat of makeup.

I will say, some of the GUI and usability improvements have been quite nice. I also enjoy the upgrade/downgrade features, which worked great for me last month.

The old system had a worse interface, but a better syntax, IMO. The only improvement is the pool increase. Hopefully, this was better than free.
