Raven consulting for interview prep

So I understand there are several interview prep companies and I’m strongly considering Raven consulting and just want to see if anyone else has had an experience with them and to see what they think. I’ve also considered spitfire as well as cage Marshall.

My friend used them with great success to help them get hired at UAL.

I used Emerald Coast for Delta (absolutely not impressed) and then Cage for United. Cage was absolutely fantastic. But… the real reason I killed it at United was my own fruition. I’ll explain what I came up with.

I signed up for AviationInterviews.com and looked at the list of all the TMAAT questions. There were about 150-200.

I had about 7-8 different stories from throughout my career that could answer most any TMAAT or HR situation type questions.

What I would do is I’d take Story 1 and put it on the left side of the paper. On the right side I would list out which TMAAT this story can answer and is applicable for.

Second page Story 2 - this can answer these TMAATs

Etc etc.

I absolutely killed it. I cannot even tell you how amazing of a feeling it is to already know what you’re going to be talking about before the interviewers were even halfway done asking the question.

I had about 5 weeks and I treated this thing like a full time job. It was winter time. Every day off at home I’d take my dogs to the indoor dog park, bring my laptop and spend hours. Cage/Emerald/Raven are only half the answer. Certainly use them, but they aren’t going to help you if you don’t come in fully prepared and the biggest thing is you have to know which stories go with which questions and have this engrained into your head so it’s almost automatic.

Definitely use the consultants. They will help you a lot in coming up with your:

“Tell Me About Yourself”, “Why United?” and any tough areas like how to answer and explain like checkride failures or in my case speeding tickets lol.

But that’s kind of the extent of what they are good at. They aren’t you and haven’t flown. You are the one that has to come up with the stories and applicable TMAAT they can answer.

Once you have it automatic in your head what goes with what you will be at ease and easily shine. Trust me. It’s an incredible feeling!

Feel free to PM with any questions or reply here etc.

Goodluck!

I probably wouldn’t be here if not for Raven.

I used Emerald coast for multiple airlines and they were fantastic. Few people go with multiple companies, so I doubt you're going to get a lot of A vs B comparisons. I'm sure any of the bigger more reputable names like Emerald Coast or Cage Marshall will do just fine.

If James from Raven can get me hired at United, he can get anyone.

Highly recommend him and his services.
